Free entry will be available at the greyhound track in Monmore Green on Easter Monday (April 1), with a family friendly fun day to celebrate the holiday

The purpose of the day is to raise funds for the Marie Curie cancer charity, with a number of other events alongside 12 greyhound races. Younger visitors will be able to enjoy such activities as face painting, a raffle for a giant Easter Egg and duck related competitions.

Easter loving race fans will also be able to meet some of the greyhounds who have retired and no longer take part in competitive racing. Stadium spokeswoman Jo Till said: "Bring the family down to help support a great cause and have a great day out." With a dozen exciting races and plenty of activities on offer for those who are not placing a bet, this is sure to be a highly enjoyable event for those seeking Easter Monday excitement.

The first race on the day will get started at 11am, with the stadium opening from 10am. The course also stages free entry greyhound dog racing on Monday and Friday afternoons.
